The Lion King

The Lion King is a 2019 American computer-animated musical film directed and produced by Jon Favreau, written by Jeff Nathanson, and produced by Walt Disney Pictures. It is a photorealistic computer animated remake of Disney's traditionally animated 1994 film of the same name. The film stars the voices of Donald GloverSeth RogenChiwetel EjioforAlfre WoodardBilly EichnerJohn KaniJohn Oliver, and Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, as well as James Earl Jones reprising his role from the original film. The plot follows Simba, a young lion who must embrace his role as the rightful king of his native land following the murder of his father, Mufasa, at the hands of his uncle, Scar.
Plans for a remake of The Lion King were confirmed in September 2016 following the success of Disney's The Jungle Book, also directed by Favreau. Much of the main cast signed in early 2017, and principal production began in mid-2017 on a blue screen stage in Los Angeles. With an estimated budget of around $260 million, it is one of the most expensive films ever made.
The film was theatrically released in the United States on July 19, 2019, and has grossed over $1 billion worldwide, becoming the fourth highest-grossing film of 2019 and the 40th highest-grossing film of all-time. It received mixed reviews, with praise for its visual effects, musical score, and vocal performances but criticism for the lack of originality and facial emotion on the characters.
Me, my little sister Sofia, my Mimi and my step-grandpa Steve went last Wednsday and we had a blast. The movie was amazing and honestly, a little better than the animated one (no offense to those who love the animated version) everything looked so real I couldn't believe it. They did change a couple of songs but that didn't bother me (if you saw the animated version, you'd see what I mean if you see the live action version) I am definitely going to see it again but next time, in 3D! Yeah, they made it in 3D as well! I'm also gonna get it when it comes out on DVD. Please check it out. I promise, you will not be disappointed.

I saw this movie about a week ago with my one of my movie buddies. I gotta tell ya, my money was well spent. Critics says it’s one of the best animated musicals of the year and I agree. This movie has a great cast, a good story, catchy songs and it sends a strong message about you me flaws and how having them is a good thing. If they don’t get Oscar nominations for best animated film and best original song (Unbreakable) I think I will explode.

It is the first animated feature film in the Spider-Man franchise,[5][6] and is set in a shared multiverse called the "Spider-Verse", which has alternate universes. Plans for an animated Spider-Man film to be developed by Lord and Christopher Miller were first revealed in 2014, and officially announced in April 2015. Persichetti, Ramsey, and Rothman joined over the next two years, with Moore and Schreiber cast in April 2017. Lord and Miller wanted the film to have its own unique style, combining Sony Pictures Imageworks' computer animation pipeline with traditional hand-drawn comic book techniques inspired by the work of Miles Morales's co-creator Sara Pichelli. Completing the animation for the film required up to 140 animators, the largest crew ever used by Sony Pictures Animation for a film to date. The film was dedicated in memory of the creators of Spider-Man, Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, who died on November 12, and June 29, respectively.

It was the first non-Disney or Pixarfilm to win the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature since 2011's Rango. Both a sequel and spin-offs are in development.

Heart, comedy, a great story line and awesomeness, what else is there to say? On Jan 14, 2019 I saw this movie with a friend. We were the only two in the theater watching the movie and that was cool! This movie was amazing! If you haven't seen it yet then you are missing out!!! This is true screen writing at work and the fact that it was made in comic book anime, absolute genius! Please see this movie.
